Astronomy Day Star Party at Branched Oak

Friday, April 24th.

In celebration of International Astronomy Day, the Branched Oak observing area (future home of the Branched Oak Observatory), will be hosting a very special star party on Saturday, April 24th. Astronomy enthusiasts of all ages are invited to this wonderful dark sky location just 15 miles northwest of Lincoln, Nebraska for the opportunity to view dozens of beautiful celestial objects through a variety of telescopes. Astronomers will be on hand to answer any questions that you might have about the night sky. Join us anytime between 8:30 and 11:30 PM Saturday evening. This event is free of charge.

This star party is an official NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Program event, and further sponsored by the UNL Dept. of Physics and Astronomy, and Branched Oak Observatory.

The Branched Oak observing site is located at 14300 NW 98th St., Raymond, NE. near Branched Oak Lake.
