Through our respective institutions with help from NASA Nebraska Space Grant, we have been a part of dozens of high-altitude ballooning launches over the past few years. Our goal is to get students in Nebraska excited about science by giving them an amazing experience,  launching a weather balloon with payloads to near space. Our participants have ranged in age from middle-school to graduate school.

  1. Hello,

I’m Aakash from India. Recently, I have been watching lot of videos regarding high altitude balloon. It’s really fascinating. Especially its the lost cost medium to send to the edge of Space & ability to capture spectacular images & videos of the beautiful Earth.
I came across you while doing google search. I wish to learn about HAB aspects– technology, design, launching, tracking, electronics etc.
However, I have very limited knowledge about all of these. But I would like to definitely learn about it.
Though I went through few online content. But none starts with the basics.

I will be glad if you can teach me basic scientific aspects of the parts involved in HAB via skype. I’m ready to pay you some amount for the skype session. I understand its not possible to learn totally via skype & launch.

However, since I have very less knowledge. I think a skype session giving an overview will give a push, give me more clarity & thus can learn faster & wish to launch it one day soon.

I will be glad if you can take some time out for it & teach & give me an overview about it. Or if you can recommend someone who can teach me will be great.

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Aakash Kumar
